SECOND CLASS KIDS MAGAZINE # 5(FANZINE)

Femte numret av Second Class Magazine innehåller som vanligt ett helt gäng välskrivna intervjuer och tidningen får man ju när man beställer något från webshoppen. Lite annorlunda reportage och ett handlar om podden Nere på Noll,  en artikel om Musikens betydelse som är riktigt intressant., en sida om hardcore. Annars är det intervjuer med No Fun At All, Kapten Grå och Varnagel. Lägg till detta recensioner och skivrecensioner. Inte så mycket att diskutera för detta är snyggt välskrivet och artiklar man kan läsa om och om igen. Jag gillar detta mycket och jag skulle nog säga att detta är bland de bästa fanzineredaktörerna. Visst är det ”etablerade” grupper som intervjuas men det är långa intervjuer och det är intressanta sådana. Själv satsar jag mycket på mer okända band och en hel del utländska sådana men här fokuseras det ju på svensk punk och hardcore. 20/9-2023

The fifth issue of Second Class Magazine contains, as usual, a whole bunch of well-written interviews and you get the magazine when you order something from the webshop. A little different reportage and one is about the podcast Nere på Noll, an article about the importance of music that is really interesting., a page about hardcore. Otherwise, there are interviews with No Fun At All, Kapten Grå and Varnagel. Add to this reviews and disc reviews. Not much to discuss because this is nicely well written and articles you can read over and over again. I like this a lot and I would probably say this is among the best fanzine editors. Sure, it is "established" groups that are interviewed, but they are long interviews and they are interesting ones. Personally, I invest a lot in more unknown bands and a lot of foreign ones, but here the focus is on Swedish punk and hardcore. 20/9-2023

Den här tidningen får man ju gratis om man beställer något från SCK. De har ju tidigare hållit sig till att intervjua sina egna band men nu har de breddat sig och det var riktigt välkommet tycker jag. Snygg tidning som vanligt eftersom det finns chans både till färg och svartvita bilder plus att allting är i A4. Den här gången intervjuas Björnarna, Socialstyrelsen, Liptones i långa och bra intervjuer.Det finns en intervju med Döda Kattens Yxan och vi får trevliga saker som Fanzinehörnan och en nutidsrapport om svenska hardcore…det är en riktigt bra genomgång så alla hänger med. Sist men inte minst så blir det låtsnack med redaktionen på tidningen och det är en ganska rolig läsning. Bästa numret hittils ….helt klart. Så gå in på Second Class kids och beställ lite grejor så stöttar ni svensk punk coh så får ni detta magasin på köpet…Riktigt bra deal! 17/4-2023

You get this magazine for free if you order something from SCK. They have previously stuck to interviewing their own bands, but now they have broadened themselves and that was really welcome, I think. Nice magazine as usual because there is a chance of both color and black and white images plus everything is in A4. This time Björnarna, Socialstyrelsen, the Liptones are interviewed in long and good interviews. There is an interview with Döda Kattens Yxan and we get nice things like Fanzine Corner and a contemporary report on Swedish hardcore... It's a really good walkthrough so everyone keeps up. Last but not least, there is pretend talk with the editorial staff at the newspaper and it is quite a fun read. Best number so far....for sure. So go to Second Class kids and order some stuff and you support Swedish punk and you will get this magazine for free ... Really good deal! 17/4-2023

Tredje delen i Second Class Kids zineserie. Som vanligt är det Kenny Sörberg och Mikael Ström som gjort intervjuerna. Många av grupperna har jag själv gjort intervjuer med men att läsa om enmansprojektet Goondocks är intressant. Det är en kort intervju med Vera Norea. N.a Hospitralet är ju en grupp som låter lite annorlunda i sin punkstil och det är Mikael Ström som gjort den intervjun. Vintertid och EPA är väl de grupper som har de längsta intervjuerna och vi får självklart inte glömma bort Slaveriet. Snygg tidning med bra intervjuer och så är det färgkort och det är ju inte så många fanzines som har precis. Sedan är det alltid bra att få en uppdatering av SCK:s andra band och vad som är på gång med dessa. Visst är det en “reklamtidning” för SCK men det är välskrivna intervjuer och framförallt intressanta sådana. Hoppas på mer nummer i framtiden för detta behövs! 7/10-2022

Third installment in the Second Class Kids zine series. As usual, it is Kenny Sörberg and Mikael Ström who have done the interviews. Many of the groups I have done interviews with myself, but reading about the one-man project Goondocks is interesting. It's a short interview with Vera Norea. N.a Hospitralet is a group that sounds a little different in their punk style and it is Mikael Ström who did that interview. Vintertid and the EPA are probably the groups with the longest interviews and we must of course not forget about Slaveriet. Nice magazine with good interviews and then there are color pictures and there are not so many fanzines that have exactly. Then it's always good to get an update on SCK's other bands and what's going on with them. Sure it's an "advertising magazine" for SCK but it's well-written interviews and above all interesting ones. Hope for more numbers in the future because this is needed! 7/10-2022

Second Class kids släpper sitt andra fanzine och det kostar 25 kronor plus porto eller jag tror det är gratis om du köper något från deras shop. Bra intervjuer med M.I.D, KKPA, Fruktansvärld, Death By Horse och Slutstation Tjernobyl av bra intervjuare. Färgbilder är man ju inte så van med när det gäller zines och inte heller A4-formatet. Långa intervjuer och det är välkommet tycker jag. Vi får en liten tillbakablick på en gammal intervju som Kenny gjorde med M.I.D 1997 och det är lite kul att det gått 25 år sedan sist.  Han har ju gjort en till detta nummer också. Småsnack med Pastoratet, Kardinal Synd och ett band som kommit tillbaka: Vintertid. Inte så mycket mer att orda om tidningen egentligen för detta är ju en tidning som alla borde ha i sitt hem. Detta är helt klart ett koncept som de ska fortsätta med så länge det finns band att intervjua. Som ni kanske förstår så håller de sig till sina egna band och det är helt OK. 23/5-2022

Second Class kids release their second fanzine and it costs 25 SEK plus postage or I think it's free if you buy something from their shop. Great interviews with M.I.D, KKPA, Terrible, Death By Horse and Slutstation Tjernobyl by good interviewers. Color images are not so used to when it comes to zines and neither is the A4 format. Long interviews and that's welcome I think. We get a little flashback to an old interview that Kenny did with M.I.D in 1997 and it's kind of funny that it's been 25 years since the last time. He's made one for this number, too. Small talk with the Pastoratet, Kardinal Synd and a band that has come back: Vintertid. Not much more to say about the zine really because this is a zine that everyone should have in their home. This is clearly a concept that they should continue with as long as there are bands to interview. As you may understand, they stick to their own bands and that's totally OK. 23/5-2022
