Twin Pigs is a band with a lot of attitude and they met in 2015, reharsed a bit and now three years later they stand with the world's fattest records (which is their second) as they express themselves! A band of good self-esteem seems like and it's not wrong. September-2018

Tell us a little about each member, age, job, family, band before and band on the side?

-Canan, Klara, Erik, Andreas and Hanna are all 30-something, have different kinds of families, have had different bands before but, just like a bunch of superheroes, beamed together to create the world's best band to save the world from useless music.

I can hear a lot of punk and other distorteda music and then both Swedish and English, I hear that right? Was it better before? Or is it better now?

-You hear what you hear? Or what? Do you mean that we sing in Swedish?

Personally, I always think the music landscape is the best in the time you live. Not be nostalgic about things you did not even have the opportunity to have been into for example.

Twin Pigs, are you satisfied with the name? ! If the best band name had not been taken, if you had chosen another name, would you have chosen? I mean which is the best band name?

-Yes, it does it´s job. Two short hard words, sound like a punk band, one gets to wonder what it's about. I'm weak for Canan's other band's name; Attention Span, typically they came to use it for themselves.

What's the best thing about playing live?

-That your songs go a little faster and you get applause. And then it's fun with stage dives.

Where is the best to play, where is the worst?

-For other bands, it's best to play gigs where Twin Pigs also plays. After all, they get a chance to see us play, but also a few thousand in the crowd by default because everyone is in a hurry to see us. Worst to play are all other gigs where we are not represented on stage simply. Take notes, all organizers.

How is it to play this kind of punk in Sweden today ??

-Just now we are unique in our genre, so it's a bit difficult to answer. It's a bit lonely on the throne. It's a dirty job but you can easily be a bit of a spear so others can take after us. Ask us again in a year when everyone tries to sound like us.

How would you describe your music in three words? Good, I think you sing along boy and girl because it's probably the best I know in punk when when bands do this. Do you have any favorites except you who doe sit?

-Fast, melodic, raw.

Cool, we think it's fat too. Some favorites that are also included are Soviettes, Martha, Bad Moves, Masshysteri(Rip). Though none of them play with the right bass instrument: synthbass, so we're still the best.

What does punk mean to you, is it just a word or is it a lifestyle?

-We received this question some other interview recently! Do not remember what I answered then maybe maybe because it depends on the day. Because that's how it feels.

The punk who made it a way of life seem most like to spray anarchist A, eat cheap bad food and smoke weed with their dogs. But definitely, it's a lifestyle. It is also a word that is quite diluted sometimes. Not a fucking microbrewery brewing punk beer is not so much punk like that ...

Ah. I do not know. The punks I know are cool, they do their thing and it may well be enough.

How do you look at downloading, mp3 and the like?

-Love it. But people have become so coward and do not dare to download anything anymore, and they rely on Spotify, Netflix and HBO to provide their entertainment.

The Internet would make us free but in many ways limited us something immensely. If you find our record on Soulseek, you will not be chased by us, I can promise. Just make sure it is properly tagged.

How do you think it's to live in Sweden today, politically? Nazis? SD? The elction?

-Good. On the other hand, I have not lived in any other country. But I have traveled a lot and can say that if we continue to have a fairly decent life, we must stop deregulating, selling out and steering up some things again.

Nazis feels after the election very silly and humiliated, that's great. But if you see a nazi in town, do not hesitate - hit him! It must be hard to be a nazi.

Swedish Democrats ... yes. What should you say as not already said about them? It is disgusting that they actually exist, but they could not have been so big and capitalized on people's dissatisfaction if the other established parties did not make anything so huge. Sometimes I join the Facebook group "Stand up for Sweden" (Stå upp för Sverige)laughing at the foolness because it's the only thing left at times, it feels like. They can get a knock too, the damn nerds.

Are there any good bands in Sweden today? In your home town?

-In our hometown, Stockholm, there are lots of good bands. Face, Axe Rash, Pissjar, Massgrav, Gestures, Slug Bait, Palme sköt först, Vidro, Barbarisms, Ditches and Viagra Boys... surely more I do not think about now.

In Sweden by the way, there are also lots of things we like. Inseminoids, The Oh No's, Sista Brytet, Hårda Tider, Makoria, Persona, Sista Brytet, Hotet, Vånna Inget, True Moon, The Dahmers, Andy the Band... a lot of good stuff!

Do you play anything outside Sweden?

- When the opportunity is given!

Other good bands from abroad?

-I have fanboyd very much over Alex Cameron from Australia last year. Strong recommendation.

Natterers from the UK are fucking fat as well. Neighborhood Brats, AJJ, Parket Courts, Tacocat, Jeff Rosenstock, Antarctigo Vespucci, Razorbumps, Priests, IDLES, Algiers and Downtown Boys. There are some I on straight arm like a lot right now.

Your lyrics, what are you influenced by? Never in a language other than English? Swedish?

-I, Erik, are influenced by a lot of things. Sometimes I can steal some words, which I think is cool, but may get a new meaning when it is put together with something else, so it's not entirely clear. Which makes me get away with it. Like all other great artists in other words.

In the past I only wrote in Swedish, but I want to tell the whole world how damn angry I am, then English feels most relevant, unfortunately.

Is there anything you will never write about?

-Nothing I can up with now. Generally, I try to leave an old concept world behind me, many punkers are still singing about TVs as if it were still the same today as in the 80's. Look forward, punks!

Politics and music, does it always belong? Which is your most political song?

-Yes. But you should not tumble on the entertainment value only.

We have quite a lot of political songs, but Burning Flag that is about killing  Nazis with their flags that sparked fire is cool relaxed political. It's from the previous album.

From the last album, on the other hand, we ask the United States and North Korea to just be with it, and bomb the whole damn world away, so it's also a rather relaxed attitude towards world politics.

Best political band / artist?

-Ramshackle Glory.

Do you think music can change someone's life, then I mean lyrics etc?

-Yes, I think it may be eye-opener for many things. Just like any artistic expression. Sometimes a text can be very redeeming if it hits one of the right places in life for example.

Your cover is really cool on your record who has done it. Is it important to have a cover so you understand what kind of music you play? What is your favorite cover all the time? ...

-Thanks! It's me, Erik, who did it. I had an idea that I would like to be clear in my cover, if someone talks about us and this album, you can say "the red with the eye" if you do not remember the title.

Since I find it difficult to know exactly what kind of punk we play, it was tricky to get something that I thought fit aesthetically. But took advantage of the horror movie vibes I get from the word "nightmare". Dario Argento works a lot with eyes and looks so it was my main inspiration. I think you still like to be curious when watching a record cover.

There are many cool covers, but are very weak for Ceremony - Rohnert Park.

Is it important to get out physical discs? Vinyl or CD or both? Is there any good record store in your hometown?

-Yes, quite. Feels like it´s real then. But many bands I like have just released digital and you listen to it anyway.

The internet is unfortunately the best record store, but when we play in Malmö, I always try to catch up with Rundgang, and in Göteborg, I look into my friends in Farsot.

Please tell me something really fun that happened during your career on stage or behind stage etc?

-It was fun when I impressed on Howlin 'Pelle with my lean model hands, in the same interview I also call a lot of band posers. Relaxed but above all fun because it's true.

How is your audience looking like? Which type of people come to your concerts? Do you miss any kind of people?

-It is quite mixed, a lot of men in general. Various types of punk and other people. Had been fun if more younger and more women would come when we play. Younger is tricky because the DIY of all ages is quite rare nowadays, but if it's cool that if someone who does all ages with younger crowd and need bands, we'll be available.

But anyone who likes Twin Pigs is proven to be the upper layer of the human genus. It is proven. Great developed brains that appreciate the finer things

Please rank your five favoriterecords, five favoriteconcerts?

-If you don´t have our two records so

2. The Mountain Goats - All Hail West Texas

3. Against Me! - Reinventing Axl Rose

4. Emperor X - Erica Western Teleport

5. Downtown Boys - Cost of Living

Do we dispense with the gigs we have made, then:

(I will almost only remember relatively fresh gigs and concerts)

1. Mountain Goats on Debaser 2018

2. Honningbarna on by:Larm 2016 or if it was 2017 don´t remember

3. Tacocat on Lilla hotellbaren some year ago

4. Jens Lekman when I and Ramon arrenge him on the shed

5. Martha in Stockholm

Is it boring with interviews ?

-No, that's awesome! Especially if you can answer questions about texts and the visual. The most boring of interviews is that some just ask standard questions that do not relate to so much of what you yourself do or have any input to.

If you could choose five bands from history, dead and alive to have a concert with your band, what are the dreambands then?

-Hmmm, which five bands would be honored to play with Twin Pigs ..?

I'd love to play the pants of Misfits, Minor Threat, Black Flag, Youth of Today and Cro-Mags. We have already owned Judge.

Is music a great way to get frustration and become a nicer person? Are you angrier today than you were as young punks?

-It surely is. For me, it's good to shout once a week in a bunker. But it may have to do with i like routines as well.

When I was young, I was quite angry and wanted life out from all living. Now I want to see death and devastation over what's destroying us, because there are still those I like.

What is the strangest question you received in an interview?

- Got a question a while ago if synth is accepted now. Obviously, that's it because we have approved it !?

What is the question you never get, ask it and answer it?

-No-one has asked me about the text to Gaping Headwound, I think it's a pity. For that I have so much to say about:Gaping Headwound, what's the deal with that song?

Well, it's about my dad, which is quite a lot of an asshole in the way many fathers can be. When I was still with him, I was so sad and sick that I lost weight because I did not eat anything. Do not be so happy. So that song is about getting free and just telling you how hard things can be anyway.

Future plans for the band?

-We hope to play a little now in the fall and winter, then let's see if it turns out something fun to find out. I would have liked to play in Kiruna for example.

For yourself?

-Me and my girl are talking about going somewhere this spring, if the economy says yes that would be something I look forward to.

Words of wisdom?

-It's better to burn out than to fade away!!!

Something to add?

-Yes, I would be very happy if you threw an ear on our new Scandinavian Nightmare. I am very proud of what we achieved with it, musically and visually.
