Finska Cause a Riot intervjuade jag ju för några år sedan och nu är det dags för 8 nya låtar och vilka låtar det är sedan. Jag älskar verkligen deras melodiska hardcore och allt detta topas med en sångare som ha en lite desperat sångröst och det passar så ypperligt in i musiken. Lyssna bara på en låt som Soul for Sale så fattar ni vad jag menar med att de spelar fantastisk musik och deras snabba sound men ack så melodiska dito är så bra. Finland har gett oss många band men undrar om inte detta är ett av de allra bästa faktiskt och jag hoppas verkligen att fler folk får upp ögonen för deras musik. Det är svårt att värja sig från skivan och varför ska jag göra det och jag vill bara lyssna om och om igen på skivan och det gör jag….och det gör jag om och om igen….det är sjukt egentligen att världen är så fylld av bra musik och att jag är så priviligierad som kanske får höra mer musik än andra med hjälp av det här ”yrket”.  Men om ni missar Cause a riot så missar ni ett av Nordens bästa melodiska punk/hardcoreband och det vill ni inte göra…längtar redan efter nästa album med gruppen! 19/10-2026

Finnish Cause a Riot I interviewed a few years ago and now it's time for 8 new songs and which songs it is then. I really love their melodic hardcore and all this is topped with a singer who has a little desperate singing voice and it fits so perfectly into the music. Just listen to a song like Soul for Sale and you will understand what I mean by that they play fantastic music and their fast sound but oh so melodic ditto is so good. Finland has given us many bands but I wonder if this is not one of the very best actually and I really hope that more people will open their eyes to their music. It's hard to defend yourself from the record and why should I do it and I just want to listen over and over again to the record and I do....and I do that over and over again....it's crazy really that the world is so filled with good music and that I'm so privileged to hear more music than others with the help of this "profession". But if you miss Cause a riot you miss one of the Nordic region's best melodic punk/hardcore bands and you don't want to do that... I'm already longing for the next album with the group! 19/10-2026

CAUSE A RIOT/TERESA BANKS-SPLIT(SINGEL-SHIELD RECORDINGS SLD122)

Teresa Banks inleder denna skiva som ä ren riktigt bra splitsingel. Teresa Banks spelar medryckande skatepunk och jag vill bara dansa omkring när jag hör deras låtar och när musik är såpass bra som denna blir man alltid ledsen att det inte är så många låtar. De kör ju två låtar var på skivan och jag skulle vilja ha mycket mer.  Teresa Banks låtar är ganska lika varandra men de har sin stil måste jag ge dem även om Rotten to the core får in lite tuffare inslag ibland i låten.. Cause a Riot är bandet som skickade skivan till mig och de kommer likt Teresa Banks från Finland och de är ett av mina favoritband från Finland på senare år. De är lite tuffare än sina kompisar och Cause a Riots musik har lite mer hardcore i sig men inte utan att glömma melodier för det är det bra också. Att det finns så mycket bra musik i världen och att Finland ä ren del av den utvecklingen när det gäller riktigt bra punk/hardcore och där är Cause a Riot en stor del av en utvecklingen tycker jag. 31/1-2022

CAUSE A RIOT/TERESA BANKS-SPLIT(SINGEL-SHIELD RECORDINGS SLD122)

Teresa Banks starts this record as a really good split single. Teresa Banks plays catchy skatepunk and I just want to dance around when I hear their songs and when music is as good as this, you always get sad that there aren't that many songs. They play two songs on the record and I'd like a lot more. Teresa Banks' songs are quite similar to each other but they have their style I have to give them even if Rotten to the core gets into some tougher elements sometimes in the song. Cause a Riot is the band that sent the record to me and they come like Teresa Banks from Finland and they are one of my favorite bands from Finland in recent years. They're a little tougher than their buddies and Cause a Riot's music has a little more hardcore in it but not without forgetting melodies because that's fine too. That there is so much good music in the world and that Finland is a pure part of that development when it comes to really good punk / hardcore and there is Cause a Riot is a big part of a development I think. 31/1-2022

Jag är väldigt tacksam mot gruppen att jag fick denna tidiga singel med gruppen och allt detta med fin orange vinyl. Denna finska hardcoregrupp är riktigt bra! Tycker om deras hardcore med snygga melodiinslag och att de lyckas få till musik med en sångare som låter förbannad på samma gång som melodierna sitter så bra! Fem låtar som det bara är att njuta av även om en av låtarna bara är 18 sekunder. Det är inte hardcore på det viset som ni kanske tror och tänker på Discharge eller något sådant utan här är det mer en typ emotionell hardcore och jag tycker att de satsar på rätt sätt för den här musikstilen passar gruppen så bra! Desperat och vackert på samma gång och missar ni denna finska grupp får ni skylla er själva. 14/9-2021

I am very grateful to the group that I got this early single with the group and all this with nice orange vinyl. This Finnish hardcore group is really good! Enjoy their hardcore with nice melodies and that they manage to make music with a singer who sounds angry at the same time as the melodies sit so well! Five songs that you can just enjoy even if one of the songs is only 18 seconds. It's not hardcore the way you might think and think about Discharge or anything like that but here it's more of a type of emotional hardcore and I think they're betting the right way for this style of music suits the group so well! Desperate and beautiful at the same time and if you miss this finnish group you have to blame yourself. 14/9-2021

CAUSE A RIOT-EP II(KASSETT)

Inte så vanligt med kassetter nuförtiden men jag fick denna av Cause  A Riot efter att jag hade intervjuat dem. Dessa finnar spelar en typ av hardcore med små emoinfluenser tycker jag och de gör det riktigt bra. Jag tänker både på Husker Du på samma gång som jag tänker på desperat hardcore och jag blir så lycklig när jag hör dem. Korta låtar som man inte tröttnar på och här är det inget onödigt krimskrams precis utan pang på rödbetan precis som det ska vara med hardcore/punklåtar. Har ni aldrig lyssnat på dem så är det hög tid att ni gör det. Finns både på bandcamp och Spotify men jag föredrar ju den riktiga varan men för er som inte har råd eller så är det ett bra alternativ. Det är synd att det inte är mer än fyra låtar av deras musik som är fylld av ångest, bra melodislingor och snabb musik. Det finns inte myckat att tveka över och ni blir nog ledsna att ni inte upptäckt dem innan om ni ger dem chansen idag! 4/11-2020

CAUSE A RIOT-EP II(KASSETT)

Not so common with cassettes these days but I got this one from Cause A Riot after I interviewed them. Thes finnish guys play a type of hardcore with small emo influences I think and they do it really well. I think of both Husker Du at the same time as I think of desperate hardcore and I get so happy when I hear them. Short songs that you do not get tired of and here it is not unnecessary nonsense just without bang on the beetroot just as it should be with hardcore/punk songs. If you have never listened to them, it is high time you do that Available at both Bandcamp and Spotify, but I prefer the real product, but for those of you who can not afford it or it is a good alternative. It is a pity that there are no more than four songs of their music that are filled with anxiety, good melodies and fast music. There is not much to hesitate about and you will probably be sorry that you did not discover them before if you give them the chance today! 4/11-2020
