None More Black

A short interview with an american group

None more Black is a new group for me and here you get a very short interview with the group but I hope it give you something. This was done in the end of april-2006

History?

-We are not or are in no way part of history.

My review of your record is like this NONE MORE BLACK-FILE UNDER

BLACK(CD-FAT WRECK FAT 659-2) A group which I never have heard of before itīs always nice because then you not have any prethinking about the group and how it sounds. None More Black plays really fast melodic punkrock and they do it in a way which makes me happy. Hereīs Lag Wagon, some NOFX and some garagepunk and it feels like they have taken some from every punk/HC group  style and put together to their own music. Do you like halffast USHC with a halfdesperate singer so must None More Black be something for you….(SEVEN) 30/3-03

What about it?

-Huh?

Is there any other bands youīre being compared with?

-No. but that's not to say we are not...I just don't hear it.

Do you care about reviews?

-Yes. they make me happy and they piss me off, but it doesn't effect

the outcome of our music. the second it hits a listener ears they

become a critic. it's human nature.

This is satire, where did the name come from? Is everything you do satire?

-It seems like what we do is satire. We barely know how to play our

instruments. but we pretend to on record and on stage. in a way our

lifestyle and what little successes we have are satire.

Whatīs the best and the worst with being a not so wellknown but an upcoming punkband?

you answered your own question....we are in the middle...no best

feelings. no worst feeling. we don't really think of our career like

that.

Is USA the land of milk and honey?

-We have lots of cows and bees. so yes, I guess we do offer lots when

it comes to agriculture.

What about Bush?

-He'll be gone soon. He's fucked this country up. Whom ever comes into

office next has one hell of a mess to clean up

Do you think that music and politics goes hand in hand?

-No. I don't know many politicians who play music. Except Clinton. He

was a hell of Sax player.

Best political band?

-Steve Earle

Is there any good bands in your homecountry now?

-Of course. too many to name.

What do you know about Sweden?

-Not much. never been there... I look foreward to going.

Have you heard any good swedish bands?

-Refused. the sounds used to be good.

What does punk mean to you, is it only a word or is it a lifestyle?

-I guess when you think about it...it's really means nothing. The

lifestyle still lends itself to many mainstream ideas and perks.

When we were kids we used to go into the fields and pick "punks" which were like weeds with a fungus on them. we would light them on fire and they would burn like incense...they smelled wonderful....like a fireplace.
